How to Program

Program your Tap Cap in under a minute. No technical skill needed.

Step 1

Download NFC Tools

Download a free NFC writing app. NFC Tools (available on iOS and Android) is our top recommendation. It's free, simple, and reliable.

Step 2

Open the App and Select Write

Launch NFC Tools and tap the "Write" tab. This puts the app in write mode so it's ready to program your cap.

Step 3

Choose What to Write

Select the type of content: a URL (website or social link), contact card (vCard), plain text, or a custom message. The possibilities are endless.

Step 4

Hold Phone to Your Tap Cap

Place the back of your phone close to your Tap Cap, within 1-2 cm. The NFC antenna is usually near the center or top of the phone.

Step 5

Wait for Confirmation

The app will vibrate or show a success message when programming is complete. That's it. Your cap is live!

Step 6

Reprogram Any Time

Changed your mind? Just repeat the process with new content. Your Tap Cap can be reprogrammed unlimited times. Forever.
